Keysight Accelerates 5G Rel-16 Device Verification

BEIJING, August 2022, 8 — Keysight Technologies (Inc.) today announced that Xiaomi has selected the company's 10G Device-to-Device Test Solution to accelerate 5G Rel-5 end-device validation, which already supports the latest 16GPP 3G NR features and specifications. Keysight provides advanced design and validation solutions designed to accelerate innovation and create a secure, connected world.
Xiaomi, the world's third-largest smartphone supplier in terms of global shipments, selected Keysight's 5G end-device test solution to explore early opportunities for 3GPP Rel-16. Keysight's close collaboration with the industry's top 5G modem platform vendors enables Xiaomi to accelerate the commercialization of smartphones with upgraded 3G technology under the 16GPP Rel-5 standard.

Keysight leverages the company's network emulation platform and toolset to provide a unique software-centric 5G end-device test solution that leverages rich processing power and radio frequency (RF) resources to support RF characterization and protocol compliance verification across multiple radio access network (RAN) technologies. Xiaomi uses automation tools provided by Keysight's common software platform to simulate a wide range of real-world network scenarios and wireless channel conditions.
